Unlike standalone instrument brands, GF Signet sensors, transmitters, and controllers are engineered from the ground up to integrate seamlessly with GF's extensive portfolio of plastic valves, pipes, and fittings. The brand originated in the 1960s in California, designing and manufacturing measurement technologies for water and corrosive chemical applications, and joined the Georg Fischer group in 1987. Today, manufacturing and operations remain headquartered in Irwindale, California, under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified quality and environmental management systems.

The product portfolio spans flow sensors (paddlewheel, magmeter, and ultrasonic technologies), pH/ORP and conductivity/resistivity sensors with patented measurement circuitry that eliminates the need for platinum plating, pressure and temperature sensors, level transmitters (ultrasonic and hydrostatic), and multi-parameter controllers including the 9900 SmartPro single-channel transmitter, 9950 dual-channel transmitter supporting up to 8 relays, and 8900 multi-channel controller with plug-in modular I/O.
