Monarch Instrument
Amherst, New Hampshire, USA / Global
Monarch Instrument didn’t set out to make a little bit of everything. It set out to make the best tachometer ever built—and then kept going. Founded in 1977 in Amherst, New Hampshire, the company began as a sales and service organization for industrial instrumentation. In 1982, it launched the Monarch Instrument Division and manufactured the world‘s first microprocessor-based portable tachometer, a breakthrough that redefined handheld speed measurement. From that single product, Monarch grew to become the world’s largest supplier of tachometers and stroboscopic inspection equipment, trusted for applications ranging from factory floor maintenance to aerospace and energy infrastructure.
The product portfolio spans portable and panel tachometers, portable and fixed-mount stroboscopes (including the patented illumiNova® series and Nova-Pro® handheld models), speed sensors (optical, laser, infrared, proximity, and magnetic), vibration meters, pressure/temperature/humidity data loggers (Track-It™ series), and DataChart™ paperless recorders with color touch-screen configurations. Monarch also offers frequency to analog converters for integrating speed signals into PLC and DCS systems. All products are manufactured in an ISO 9001:2015 certified facility in Amherst, New Hampshire, USA. For maintenance technicians, reliability engineers, and system integrators who need accurate, rugged speed measurement and motion analysis tools, Monarch Instrument delivers instruments that work—on the shop floor, in the field, and decade after decade.
