The Bently Nevada 3500/33 16-Channel Relay Module is a full-height module designed to provide flexible and configurable alarm output capabilities for the 3500 Series machinery protection system . It offers 16 independent relay outputs that can be placed in any slot to the right of the Transient Data Interface (TDI) module, allowing for scalable alarm capacity within the rack .

Each of the 16 relays can be independently programmed with its own Alarm Drive Logic using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software . This logic uses AND and OR gates to combine inputs from various sources across the rack. The logic can be based on alarming inputs (Alert and Danger statuses), Not-OK statuses, or even individual measured variables from any monitor channel or combination of channels. This provides immense flexibility in creating specific voting schemes and ensuring that alarms are triggered only under precisely defined machine conditions .

The relays are epoxy-sealed single-pole double-throw (SPDT) contacts, rated for 250 Vrms. They have a typical power consumption of 5.8 watts and a rated mechanical life of 100,000 cycles. Front panel LEDs provide immediate visual indication of the status of each relay output, simplifying troubleshooting and system verification .
