How does magnetic loop vehicle detection work?

An inductive wire loop installed in the parking bay floor creates an electromagnetic field. When a vehicle's metallic mass enters the field, it changes the loop's inductance. The MR4-dp detects this shift and outputs an occupancy signal to the guidance system. The 24 VDC supply and 1 W power consumption make it suitable for continuous 24/7 operation in multi-storey and underground car parks.
