The GMV2 is a microprocessor-controlled torque measurement and control system from PLARAD (Maschinenfabrik Wagner), designed for bolted assembly quality assurance in production, laboratory testing, and tool calibration environments. It interfaces with PLARAD DRT series torque sensors featuring integrated ID chips — sensor parameters transfer automatically when connected, eliminating manual configuration errors.

What parameters does it measure and record?

The GMV2 simultaneously captures torque, angle of rotation, speed, and power during each fastening cycle. Up to 1,000 measurement values are stored with date and time stamps, retrievable for quality documentation or statistical process analysis. Custom text labels for parameter sets and data sets can be assigned, with optional barcode scanner support for automated batch identification.

How does it integrate into production lines?

Control inputs enable external triggering of measurements and parameter set changes via PLC or footswitch. Switch outputs can directly control electric or hydraulic tightening tools — automatically stopping the tool when the target torque is reached. An optical signal output provides visual pass/fail indication at the workstation, while RS-232 connectivity supports printer output and data transfer to EDP and PC systems.
