The E+H Solicap FTI77 level switch is a partly insulated sword/rope probe for point level detection of fine-grained to coarse-grained bulk solids. It offers maximum reliability due to its active build-up compensation and is suited for a wide range of applications thanks to numerous certificates and approvals. Due to its robust construction, it can also be used in applications with very high lateral loads (up to 800Nm, sword version), high temperatures and abrasive media.

The FTI77 uses 500 kHz RF admittance (capacitive) measurement with active build-up compensation, making it ideal for bulk solids that tend to cake or coat the probe—such as cement, lime, gypsum, flour, and sugar. The probe is available in sword (partly insulated) and rope configurations. The sword version withstands lateral loads up to 800 Nm, suitable for heavy material loads in large silos.

Two-stage overvoltage protection guards against static discharges common in powder handling. The electronic insert options (FEI53, FEI55, FEI57S, FEI58) enable SIL2/SIL3 functional safety when paired with the Nivotester FTC325. Intrinsically safe versions carry ATEX and IECEx certifications for dust hazardous areas (Ex ia IIIC). Calibration is via simple push-button setup, and the probe can be field-shortened for flexible installation.
