How does the verification procedure work?

The operator mounts the Verifier's steel 20 mm loading fixture (dolly) and applies pull-off force through the PosiTest AT tester. The Verifier's load cell measures the actual applied force while the SSI displays the reading. Test results should fall within the combined accuracy of the adhesion tester (±1% full scale for AT models) and the Verifier (±6.33 psi). If any verification point exceeds this combined tolerance, the adhesion tester requires recalibration. A Sample Certificate of Accuracy included with each unit recommends specific verification points across the 0–5,000 psi range.

Which adhesion tester models are compatible?

The Verifier works with all PosiTest AT pull-off adhesion testers supporting 10 mm, 14 mm, 20 mm, and 50 mm dolly sizes. A conversion factor is applied when verifying testers with non-20 mm dollies. Both the manual AT-M (max 3,000 psi on 20 mm dolly) and automatic AT-A (max 3,500 psi on 20 mm dolly) are supported.

What documentation supports ISO and in-house QC requirements?

Each Verifier includes two Certificates of Calibration traceable to NIST, a Sample Certificate of Accuracy showing recommended verification points, and a Measurement Uncertainty Worksheet pre-populated with data unique to the unit. This documentation package satisfies the measurement uncertainty and traceability requirements of ISO 4624, ASTM D4541, and ASTM D7234 for adhesion tester verification.
