How does a Microcut® retrofit improve a manual paper cutter?

Microcut® replaces the manual backgauge positioning handwheel with a servo-driven leadscrew controlled by a touchscreen computer. Operators programme cut sequences — including label insertion, sheet divide, and eject — directly on the interface. The system positions the backgauge to within ±0.002″ repeatability, eliminating measurement errors, reducing operator fatigue, and increasing throughput from hundreds to thousands of cuts per shift on the same mechanical cutter frame.

Which Microcut® model fits different shop requirements?

The X-12Plus and PLUS WS target high-volume shops with 12″ touchscreens, 400,000+ cut positions, and CIP/JDF networking for automated job ticketing. The COLOR WS provides an 8″ screen for mid-volume operations. The ECO suits cutters 37″ and under with a 7″ or 10″ colour touchscreen. The BASIC and JR models offer 4,000-cut LCD control for smaller shops. All models accept universal 85–265VAC power and fit any cutter brand.
