How does the PX sensor detect a leaking container?

The PX inductive sensor measures the microscopic deflection of the container lid or twist-off cap without touching it. A properly sealed can or jar maintains a stable vacuum or positive internal pressure that holds the lid in a predictable concave or convex profile. A leaking container loses this pressure differential, causing the lid profile to flatten or distort — a change the PX sensor detects as it passes at production speed. The independent frame isolates the sensor from conveyor vibration and ambient plant noise, ensuring maximum accuracy.
