The Siemens SITAS 4AM4342-5AJ10 is a 315VA control transformer that converts a 400V primary supply to 110V at 2.86A. It is the higher-power alternative to the 250VA 4AM4042-5AJ10, offering 26% more continuous capacity and a 1,120VA short-time (S6) rating for control panels where 250VA is insufficient for the 110V control circuit load.

Voltage Adaptation

Primary taps at 380V, 400V, and 420V (+-5%) allow the transformer to be configured for the actual site supply voltage, ensuring the 110V secondary remains within specification. The 110V output is a globally adopted control voltage for operator safety while maintaining sufficient coil-pull-in energy for large contactors and motor starters.

Performance & Build

Built on the EI 105/60 laminated core at approximately 90% efficiency, the larger core cross-section reduces losses compared to the EI 96/58 used in the 250VA class. The IP00 open-frame package (107x111x120mm, ~4.6kg) mounts via screws with screw-type and flat tab terminals.
