Product Description
How does ProTIR® monitor temperature inside furnaces?
ProTIR® mounts a high-resolution radiometric thermal camera inside a water-cooled AISI 316L stainless steel housing with an 86° wide-angle lens. From a single narrow wall opening, it captures 764 × 480 pixels — 367,000 real-time temperature data points — at 80 frames per second across the 450–1,800°C range. Every pixel carries an accurate temperature value, enabling hotspot detection, flame shape analysis, and refractory wear tracking without interrupting production.
What industries and equipment does ProTIR® serve?
ProTIR® is deployed in steel reheat furnaces, cement rotary kilns and clinker coolers, glass melt furnaces, petrochemical cracker tubes and steam reformers, and power generation boilers. In cement plants, it detects snowmen formation, red rivers, and burner anomalies early — preventing unplanned shutdowns and reducing refractory maintenance costs.
How does ProTIR® integrate with plant control systems?
The system streams temperature data and alarm events via Ethernet with OPC-UA and OPC-DA protocols to SCADA, DCS, and plant historians. Operators configure unlimited temperature zones with independent alarm and pre-alarm rules from the control room. The ProTIR® software suite includes database logging, email notifications with thermal images, and a watchdog system that monitors system health 24/7 — preventing accidental shutdowns.
