Product Description
The RKS+ is Tucor's flagship conventional wired irrigation controller — a wall-mounted polycarbonate cabinet that manages commercial landscape, turf, nursery, and golf course irrigation. It scales from a single valve to 100 stations in single-station increments, with the ability to run up to 10 programs simultaneously through its FloStack flow-based scheduler.
How does FloStack concurrent scheduling work?
Traditional controllers run programs sequentially — program B waits for program A to finish. FloStack assigns a flow rate to each station and stacks programs based on total available flow capacity. When the combined flow of active stations stays below the system limit, multiple programs run concurrently. This shortens total watering windows — critical for large sites where sequential scheduling would exceed available overnight hours.
How does FloGuard protect the irrigation system?
FloGuard continuously monitors flow against learned station baselines. It triggers alarms and automatic control actions on four conditions: high flow (broken pipe or head), low flow (clogged nozzle or valve failure), flow deviation (gradual drift), and unscheduled flow (leak or tampering during idle periods). Main pump failure detection stops all stations to prevent dry-running pumps.
How does ET-based scheduling reduce water consumption?
The RKS+ uses evapotranspiration data from an on-site ET-300-W weather station or soil moisture sensors (SMS-100) to calculate exactly how much water the landscape lost since the last irrigation cycle. It then adjusts run times automatically — applying only the replacement water needed — rather than running fixed-duration cycles. Water budgeting from 0–250% in 1% increments provides a global adjustment for seasonal transitions or water restrictions.
