Carbon film resistors are the workhorses of basic electronics. The QUADRIOS 22P119 delivers 100 pieces of 10kΩ carbon film resistors with 0.5W power handling and ±5% tolerance. This combination of value, power, and tolerance makes them suitable for LED current limiting, transistor biasing, pull-up/pull-down networks, and voltage dividers where exact precision is not critical.

Key Specifications

The 0.5W rating allows for higher current than 0.25W parts – at 10kΩ, the maximum current is about 7mA. The ±5% tolerance is adequate for most non-critical applications where a 5% variation in resistance does not affect circuit behavior. Carbon film resistors also exhibit better pulse handling characteristics than metal film, making them suitable for snubber circuits or inrush limiting.
