The Mahr Pocket Surf IV Mobile Roughness Tester measures Ra, Rmax/Ry, and Rz parameters, displaying all after measurement. Its cast aluminum housing ensures accurate, reliable operation over many years. The measuring length is adjustable based on 1x, 3x, or 5x the cutoff wavelength of 0.030 inches (0.8mm).

The tester can be used in any position—horizontal, vertical, or upside down—with four locking probe positions (axial, 90°, 180°, 270°). MarConnect data output (RS-232C/USB) simplifies data transmission to standard recording systems. The LCD displays measured roughness in μm or μinch immediately after scanning, along with limit exceedance messages and battery warning.

Skid probe system, piezoelectric skid probe, and measuring force of 15mN ensure consistent results. Long battery life from a standard 9V battery makes it ideal for shop floor or field use.
