Product Description
The VERSO+ 220 is a complete access control solution in a single wall-mount enclosure, combining the VERSO+ TCP/IP controller with a pre-wired 220V-to-12VDC power supply. Available in 1-, 2-, and 4-reader configurations, it controls up to four doors from one panel while supporting mixed reader technologies on each port — a Wiegand proximity reader on door 1, a Clock & Data magnetic stripe reader on door 2, and an RS485 OSDP smart reader on door 3 can coexist on the same controller.
What makes the 220 variant different from other VERSO+ models?
The '220' designation indicates the integrated 220V AC power supply, which is factory-wired inside the enclosure with three fused 12V DC outputs (2.5 A, 1.6 A, and 0.5 A). This eliminates the need for an external PSU and separate fused distribution — the installer connects mains power to the enclosure, and all readers, locks, and expansion modules draw from the protected outputs. A battery backup connection supports a 12 V / 7 Ah battery (maximum 151 × 65 mm footprint) for continued operation during power outages. The enclosure measures 330 × 275 × 80 mm and weighs approximately 4 kg fully assembled.
Which reader technologies and protocols are supported?
The VERSO+ accepts Wiegand-format devices (HID, STID, DESFire, Indala proximity readers and keypads), Clock & Data devices (magnetic stripe, barcode, and radio receivers), and RS485 peripherals using OSDP (HID), SSCP (STID), or DIGITOUCH protocols. Reader cabling runs up to 150 m using 3-pair 0.6 mm² cable (SYT recommended). Multiple credential types can be assigned per user — for example, a single user record can hold a Wiegand card, a biometric template, and a PIN code simultaneously.
How is the system managed and expanded?
Day-to-day management is through VISOR, Vauban's Windows-based supervision software, which handles user enrollment, access group assignment, event monitoring, and reporting. For browser-based access, the VWEB embedded web server provides core functions without installing client software — a free license covers up to 4 readers. The system can be expanded beyond the base 4-reader capacity using RS485 bus modules (V-EXT4+ for additional readers, V-EXTIO for inputs/outputs, V-EXT-LCD for local displays) up to a maximum of 42 readers with appropriate licensing. Configuration backups are stored on SD card for rapid controller replacement without software tools.
What security and automation features are included?
The controller supports 128 programmable time zones, 64 automation rules, 24 access groups, and 3 security levels — enabling complex schedules such as 'main entrance open 07:00–19:00 weekdays, labs restricted to Level 3 cardholders only, loading dock auto-unlocked 06:00–08:00.' Anti-passback prevents a credential from re-entering without first exiting, and the 15,000-event buffer provides audit-trail logging even during network interruptions thanks to offline operation capability. An SD card slot provides configuration backup and rapid field replacement without re-programming.
