The Siemens 5UB1846 is an orange Schuko socket outlet from the DELTA style series with a built-in status indicator. The orange cover plate is commonly used for UPS-backed, isolated, or critical-load circuits, while the green LED confirms live power without a tester.

Orange Circuit + Green Indicator — Two Independent Signals

The orange plate passively identifies the circuit type even when the socket is de-energized — a facility manager scanning a room knows which outlets are on backup power by color alone. The green status indicator adds an active layer: it lights up only when power is present, so a technician sees immediately whether the circuit is live before connecting equipment. This active+passive combination is unique to the 5UB184x uncovered range; the standard 5UB1850 provides only the orange bezel without the indicator.

Installation Notes
