Product Description

How does conductive level detection work with the VNV-2?

The VNV-2 applies a DC-free AC measurement voltage to conductive probes immersed in the medium. When liquid bridges the probe and reference electrode, the circuit closes — the VNV-2 detects this conductivity change and triggers its output. A minimum medium conductivity of 1 μS/cm is required, making it suitable for water-based liquids, acids, alkalis, and saline solutions.

What level control functions are available?

The VNV-2 supports configurable function scopes via its order code: single or dual level control (1CT/2C/2CT), level control plus level detection (1CT2D), or four-channel level detection (4D). Wire break monitoring (W suffix) adds fail-safe operation by detecting open-circuit probe connections.

How does the VNV-2 differ from the ZNV-2?

The ZNV-2 is the narrow 22.5 mm DIN rail variant for space-constrained panels, offering active outputs only with a reduced function scope. The VNV-2 (45 mm wide) provides full relay output and the complete function range.
