Product Description
The Telaire T8000-R Series is a low-cost, high-performance wall mount CO₂ and temperature transmitter designed for building automation and indoor agriculture markets. It integrates seamlessly with building management systems to enable demand-controlled ventilation, reducing energy costs while maintaining indoor air quality compliance .
The transmitter features a patented NDIR (Non-Dispersive Infrared) gas sensing engine with gold-plated optics, delivering high accuracy in a compact package. The patented ABC Logic™ self-calibration system automatically corrects for long-term drift in most applications, eliminating the need for manual calibration and providing a lifetime CO₂ calibration warranty .
Two models are available: the T8100-R with 0-2000 ppm range (ideal for ASHRAE-compliant indoor air quality monitoring), and the T8200-R with 0-5000 ppm range for applications requiring extended measurement capability. Accuracy is ±30 ppm or ±3% of reading, whichever is greater . Temperature measurement is included with accuracy of ±1°C from 15-30°C .
The built-in relay provides flexible control options—it can actuate ventilation fans when CO₂ exceeds setpoints in buildings without automation systems, or control CO₂ enrichment equipment to optimize plant growth in indoor agriculture applications. Output options include field-selectable 0-5V, 0-10V, or 4-20mA analog signals .
Installation is simplified with a mounting plate featuring two-piece terminal blocks for quick wiring. A gas-permeable, water-resistant diffusion filter protects the sensor from particulate and moisture contamination. The locking screw secures the cover to the mounting bracket for tamper resistance .
All units are factory calibrated and feature conformal coating on 5000 ppm models for enhanced protection. The modern enclosure design suits a variety of indoor environments. UIP software is available for custom configuration .
