The 4AM3442-5MT10 is a 100VA single-phase control transformer from the Siemens SITAS 4AM series, built to deliver 230VAC at 0.43A from a 690V three-phase heavy-industrial supply bus. It eliminates the need for a dedicated 400V control transformer feeder when the only available voltage in the cabinet is the 690V motor supply.

690V Heavy Industry

690V is the standard voltage for high-power motors in mining, steel, cement, water treatment, and oil and gas applications where motor ratings exceed what is practical at 400V. Motor control centers and pump skids running at 690V often need 230VAC for control circuits, instrumentation, and anti-condensation heaters. The 5MT10 provides this directly — no auxiliary transformer feeder from a separate 400V board required. The ±5% taps (655/690/725V) cover supply variations typical of heavy industrial networks.
