Product Description

The Contrive Avior is an IIoT wireless DIN rail controller that integrates traditional I/O capabilities with modern wireless communication and cloud-edge collaboration. Designed for supervision and control through WiFi and cellular networks, Avior can operate in two distinct modes: as a passive remote controller managed by cloud commands (CLOUD), or as a fully programmable edge controller that deploys automated actions in response to local events (EDGE). This dual-mode architecture makes Avior versatile for applications ranging from simple remote monitoring to complex distributed control systems.

Avior provides six digital inputs with pulse counter and time counter functionality, four software-configurable analog inputs, and four dry contact relay outputs. Additional interfaces include a Wiegand interface, an infrared transmitter and receiver, and a COM port (RJ45) supporting both command and transparent modes. The COM port enables Modbus RTU Master functionality (available from firmware version FW 02.30), allowing Avior to control a network of Modbus devices. All units include WiFi (2.4GHz) and Bluetooth. The 2900.CM.4B model adds 2G/3G/4G cellular connectivity with SMS, phone calls, audio playback, DTMF detection, chat, and text-to-speech capabilities.

In Edge mode, Avior is programmed using up to 500 rules, each triggered by a channel event. Configuration is done via Avior.Suite, a portable application requiring no installation. Local configuration uses the Mobi.Link USB cable (2505.00.03), while remote configuration is available through the embedded web server. Firmware updates are deployed over the air. Avior includes a filesystem with SD card interface supporting up to 32GB, dual power supply with monitoring, and backup battery with monitoring.

Avior is designed for standard DIN EN-50022 rail mounting. Typical applications include remote pump station monitoring, intelligent access control, distributed data acquisition, and industrial equipment automation.
