The IQ1 from Schick Industrie is a universal control unit for industrial handpieces and spindles used in grinding, cutting, and machining of solid materials. A bright OLED display shows all key operating parameters, readable from any angle. Speed is adjustable from 200 to 100,000 rpm via a rotary knob on the control unit, a dynamic foot pedal, or directly from the handpiece switch on compatible models.

What control inputs are supported?

Three options: the front-panel rotary knob for manual bench-top operation, an optional dynamic foot pedal for hands-free speed control (allows starting as low as 200 rpm), and a handpiece-mounted switch on MT S / MT S Slim models. Direction of rotation — clockwise or counter-clockwise — is selected via dedicated buttons and confirmed on the OLED display.

What handpieces are compatible?

MT 100, MT S, and MT S Slim handpieces from Schick Industrie. The MT S variants include a handpiece-mounted start switch. The control unit provides intelligent connection monitoring, and input changes (motor selection, direction change) are confirmed by a short vibration of the connected handpiece for tactile feedback.

What is the output capability?

Up to 220 W with 8 Ncm torque, suitable for demanding grinding and cutting applications across a wide range of materials and tool diameters. The unit should only be powered off via the main switch when the handpiece is stationary.
