Product Description
The RP7 is a single-phase power controller from LUMEL that uses phase-angle control to switch and regulate power to resistive and resistive-inductive loads. Three output current ratings are available: 5 A (RP71), 10 A (RP72), and 15 A (RP73). The triac output provides contactless switching with galvanic isolation between the input and power circuits.
How is the input signal configured?
Four input ranges—0–5 V, 0–10 V, 0–20 mA, and 4–20 mA—plus an external 10 kΩ potentiometer option are selectable via DIP switches. A second DIP switch bank sets the load type (resistive or resistive-inductive) and enables soft start with current limiting, adapting the RP7 to the connected load without external components.
What protection and monitoring features are included?
The RP7 monitors fuse status and indicates failure on the front panel. The soft start function limits inrush current during power-up, and the phase-angle limiting function prevents excessive output at high mains voltage. The unit operates in an IP20 enclosure rated for pollution degree 2 and installation category III.
How is the RP7 installed?
The controller mounts on a standard 35 mm DIN rail (TH35) or directly on a panel. Screw terminals handle the power and control wiring. Overall dimensions are 50 × 105 × 105 mm, with a vertical working position required for rated heat dissipation.
