Product Description
The FGC 200/300 is Flygt's pump station process controller for wastewater and stormwater lifting stations — combining pump start/stop logic with integrated alarm monitoring in a single wall-mounted unit. An LCD display with keypad and LED status indicators provides local alarm log access with up to 1,000 time-stamped events. Alarm triggers include high motor temperature (thermal contact), high water level (float or conductivity switch), and internal self-diagnostic faults. A built-in heater protects against condensation in outdoor installations.
What alarm functions differentiate the FGC 200 and FGC 300?
Both models detect and log alarm events locally, but they differ in remote notification capability. The FGC 200 outputs alarms through a dedicated hard-wired relay — suitable for connecting a local beacon, siren, or building management system dry contact. The FGC 300 adds configurable general-purpose I/O and supports remote alarm delivery via AquaCom SCADA protocol, SMS text messaging, and optional LON, GSM telephone, or radio communication modules via a plug-in communication module slot. For unmanned stations requiring off-site alarm notification, the FGC 300 is the minimum specification.
How is pump control and level sensing configured?
Both controllers accept a 4–20 mA analogue level sensor for continuous tank level measurement plus start, stop, and high level switch inputs for redundant alarm triggering. Motor protection includes a thermal contact input for pump over-temperature. Start and stop setpoints are configurable via the front-panel keypad. Single-pump stations use the FGC 200; stations with duty/standby or dual-pump operation require the FGC 300. A maintenance run function and backup control capability are built in. EX-mode variants are available for classified hazardous environments.
