For transformer-coupled loads, phase angle with soft start/soft stop and RMS current limiting protects the transformer primary from inrush saturation.

How does the GFX4-IR manage four independent heating zones?

Each of the four zones has its own universal input, PID loop, SSR output, current transformer input, and alarm logic — functionally four independent controllers in one DIN-rail housing. Zone parameters, setpoints, and firing modes are configured independently via GF Express software or the front-panel interface. The integrated energy metering function tracks per-zone kWh consumption for energy management and predictive maintenance.
