The Pyxis SP-400 is a handheld dual-channel fluorometer that simultaneously measures PTSA (1,3,6,8-pyrenetetrasulfonic acid) concentration and conductivity in a single water sample. Its cuvette-less design features a built-in sample cell requiring less than 5 mL of sample, eliminating the need for disposable cuvettes.

The instrument measures PTSA from 0 to 300 ppb with ±1% or ±1.0 ppb accuracy and 0.1 ppb resolution. Excitation wavelength is 365 nm with emission at 410 nm. Proprietary internal algorithms automatically compensate for sample color and turbidity interference up to 60 NTU, dramatically improving measurement accuracy without pre-filtration.

Conductivity range is 0 to 15,000 µS/cm with graded accuracy: ±10% or ±0.5 µS/cm (0-20 µS/cm), ±1% (20-10,000 µS/cm), and ±2% (10,000-15,000 µS/cm). A single conductivity calibration using one standard covers the entire measurement range.

The large color TFT-LCD screen is readable in direct sunlight and features a LOCK-IN indicator when readings stabilize. The device includes sample cell cleanliness diagnostics for predictive cleaning maintenance. IP67 rated for complete dust and waterproof protection.

Bluetooth 5.0 enables wireless connection to uPyxis mobile and desktop apps for customized settings, configuration, and firmware updates. The device logs measurement history with date/time stamps. Powered by four AA alkaline batteries providing up to 10,000 measurements. Standard accessories include batteries and Bluetooth/USB adapter for desktop.
