The Sitron CF12 series is a highly reliable thermal dispersion flow switch engineered for precise flow/no-flow detection in liquids and gases. Its solid-state, no-moving-parts design ensures maintenance-free operation and an extended service life, making it an ideal solution for demanding industrial environments. The CF12 can also be used for liquid level detection.

Technology & Features

The CF12 operates on the principle of thermal dispersion. The sensor tip contains a heated Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) and a reference RTD that monitors the media temperature. As the media flows past the tip, it dissipates heat from the heated RTD. The resulting temperature difference between the two RTDs is inversely proportional to the flow velocity, allowing for precise flow monitoring. This technology ensures a fast response time and is unaffected by changes in pressure or temperature.

Flexible Configurations

The CF12 series offers a variety of enclosures to suit different application requirements, including glass-filled nylon (N1) for general purposes, aluminum (G1/G2/G3) for industrial environments, and 316 stainless steel (A1/A2) for corrosive or sanitary applications. An explosion-proof version (GX) with ATEX and IECEx certifications is also available for hazardous locations. All models feature an 8-LED bargraph display for intuitive local indication of flow status.
