The ELETTROTEC IF…V2E is a piston-type flow switch with a visual flow indicator and an adjustable electrical setpoint. It operates on the variable area principle: a magnetic piston is displaced by the fluid flow against a spring, and the position is read on a glass tube scale. The magnetic field of the piston actuates a hermetically sealed reed contact, providing an electrical signal for flow/no-flow detection.

Installation Requirements

For reliable operation, vertical installation with flow direction from bottom to top is required. The instrument must be kept at least 30 mm away from magnetic fields and ferrous parts to avoid interference with the magnetic switching mechanism.

The IF…V2E series is widely used in industrial cooling circuits, lubrication systems, heat exchangers, welding machinery, transformers, compressors, and general process monitoring for water, oils, and compatible liquids. It is also suitable for pump protection (dry-run prevention) and filter monitoring.
