The Kobold DAA flow indicator utilizes a sight glass and optional plastic rotor to provide a visual indication of flow. The DAA features a self-cleaning mechanism that ensures full visibility of the rotor at all times. Most types of known flow indicators suffer problems of indicator visibility with use due to dirt build-up on the viewing windows. With a simple twist of the sight glass on Kobold DAA flow indicators, integral wipers clean the viewing area to allow unobstructed observation of the rotor. The contaminants are then washed away by the medium flow. This process may be repeated as often as desired with no downtime .

The Kobold DAA has flow ranges from 0.11-3.17 GPM up to 1.06-58.12 GPM depending on the size selected. Maximum temperature is 210°F and maximum pressure is 230 psig. The body is made of a hard borosilicate glass (Duran) cylinder that provides excellent visibility and chemical resistance .

This Kobold flow indicator is available with brass or stainless steel fittings with female threads from 1/4" to 1-1/2" NPT. It can be ordered with or without the plastic rotor, depending on whether rotating indication is desired. The rotor wipers are synthetic, and the device is kept tight and rotatable through the use of low friction o-rings .

Applications include water treatment, chemical processing, and general industrial flow monitoring where visual confirmation of flow is required and where media may contain particles that could obscure traditional sight glasses .
