The Badger Meter EPM-2 oval gear meter is designed to dispense motor oil (SAE 5 to 50), gear oil (SAE 80 to 240), automatic transmission fluid, antifreeze (ethylene glycol) solution, and hydraulic fluid. The preset feature will allow users to perform other service tasks while fluid is dispensed. It is available in standard model which can only hold a single preset (99.9 units max), or the advanced version with six programmable presets (999 units max). The advanced model also adds viewable flow rate readings in liters or US gallons per minute and a history function for the last five batches.

Applications include fleet maintenance shops, industrial assembly, quick lube facilities, dealerships, construction and mining equipment, general automotive service centers, and specialty service and repair shops. The meter operates at temperatures from 20 to 120°F (-5 to 50°C) and pressures up to 1000 psi (600 psi for special fluids). Accuracy is ±0.5% with oils and ±1.5% with antifreeze.

The 5-digit LCD display can show quarts, pints, gallons, or liters with a maximum totalizer or dispense volume of 99,999. Battery life is minimum 20,000 cycles on 4 AA batteries, with automatic shutoff at preset amount for reliable dispensing.
