The Process Control Devices paddle flow switch is a versatile and reliable solution for monitoring liquid and gas flow in industrial pipelines. Operating on a simple yet effective paddle mechanism, it provides accurate flow/no-flow detection with field-adjustable set points. The switch utilizes the force of fluid flow to move its paddle, which in turn actuates a snap-acting micro switch (SPDT). When flow is present, the paddle is thrust upward at a 20-30 degree angle, pushing a magnet to close the reed switch circuit. In no-flow conditions, the spring expands, keeping the magnet away from the reed switch and maintaining an open circuit.
