Product Description

The DEMGY polyamide 3D printer is an industrial selective laser sintering (SLS) system operated by DEMGY (formerly Dedienne Multiplasturgy Group), a French plastics processing specialist with additive manufacturing experience dating to 1995. The 700 × 380 × 380 mm build volume accommodates multiple nested parts for batch production of polyamide, carbon-fiber-reinforced, and metal components.

What can SLS do that FDM cannot?

Selective laser sintering fuses powder layer by layer without requiring support structures — the unsintered powder bed supports overhangs and complex geometries during the build. This eliminates support removal labor and enables interlocking assemblies, internal channels, and lattice structures that are impractical with extrusion-based methods. Parts exhibit near-isotropic mechanical properties, making them suitable for functional prototypes and end-use production parts rather than visual models.

What is the scope of DEMGY's additive manufacturing capability?

DEMGY operates a dedicated Atelier DEMGY 3D additive manufacturing workshop, positioning SLS alongside their traditional plastics processing for a complete prototype-to-production pipeline. The group targets industries where functional polyamide and composite parts must withstand thermal, mechanical, and chemical loads — including aerospace, automotive, and industrial equipment — and claims up to 10× faster turnaround compared to conventional tooling-based manufacturing for small and medium series.
