The Fox Thermal FT1 is a highly accurate thermal gas mass flow meter featuring advanced DDC-Sensor (Direct Digitally Controlled) technology and a proprietary correlation algorithm . Its key innovation is the Gas-SelectX feature, a menu of several common gases or gas mixtures that the user can select in the field. Available gases include Air, Argon, CO2, Methane, Natural Gas, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Helium, Propane, and various methane/CO2/nitrogen mixes, with the ability to program custom mix percentages .

The FT1 offers a flow range of 15 to 15,000 SFPM with an impressive turndown ratio of up to 1000:1 (100:1 typical). The meter includes the CAL-V™ feature, an on-board calibration validation test that can be initiated via the display or FT1 View™ Software. This test takes fewer than five minutes and provides a clear pass/fail result, indicating whether the sensor is dirty or requires recalibration .

The meter features a rotatable probe that allows a ±180-degree swivel for optimal orientation. It has a NEMA 4 enclosure with all-welded 316 stainless steel wetted materials. A USB port is provided for connection to a PC. The FT1 is approved for use in hazardous locations with FM/FMc, ATEX, and IECEx certifications and carries the CE Mark .
