The ENVEA SlideControl 2.0 is a microwave sensor for non‑contact monitoring of material flow in air slides. It is used for flow/no‑flow detection and blockage detection of bulk solids such as powders, dusts, pellets and granulates in pneumatic conveying lines. The sensor uses 24.125 GHz microwave technology and provides a 4‑20 mA trend signal proportional to the material flow rate.

Easy Installation and Retrofitting

Installation is simple and can be retrofitted without process interruption. The sensor is mounted on the outside of the air slide, measuring the material height above the aeration membrane. It gives immediate alarm when flow is interrupted. The stainless steel housing (1.4571) is rated IP65, suitable for harsh industrial environments. Process temperature ranges from -20°C to +80°C (standard) and can be extended to +220°C with a process adapter.

Signal Processing and Outputs

The transmitter offers a 4‑20 mA output for trending and RS485 Modbus RTU communication. A separate display/processor unit is available with IP65 protection, 4‑20 mA outputs, pulse and relay outputs, and USB interface.

Applications

The SlideControl 2.0 is widely used in cement, asphalt, minerals, steel, and other bulk solids handling industries for continuous flow monitoring, blockage detection, and flow/no‑flow alarming.
