The Ecotec Gazoscan is a handheld remote methane detector that uses Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) to selectively and accurately detect methane from a safe distance of up to 100 meters. The system works by projecting a laser beam that is partially absorbed by methane in the gas plume and reflected back to the detector for immediate analysis, with real-time results displayed on the screen.
