The GEMÜ 0326 is a compact direct-controlled 3/2-way pilot solenoid valve with a polyamide (PA) body, designed primarily for pneumatic actuator piloting in valve manifolds and control cabinets. Its modular rail-mount design allows multiple valves to be ganged on a common aluminium manifold for centralized pneumatic control. The plastic-encapsulated coil and FPM seals suit neutral gases and compressed air per ISO 8573-1 Class 4.

What is the difference between NC and NO configurations?

The normally closed (NC) version delivers 70 L/min and consumes 4.5 W (DC), switching on in 11 ms and off in 20 ms. The normally open (NO) version provides 40 L/min at 6.8 W. The NC version uses a two-stage power profile on AC (11.5 W pull-in, 8.5 W hold-in), while the NO version draws a steady 6.8 W regardless of supply type. Choose NC for fail-safe venting, NO for fail-safe pressurization.

When is the ATEX-certified variant required?

For installations in potentially explosive atmospheres, GEMÜ offers ATEX-certified 0326 variants rated II 2G Ex mb II T4 (gas) and II 2D Ex tD A21 IP65 T130 °C (dust), certified to PTB 03 ATEX 2018 X. These variants include a 3 m pre-wired cable in place of the standard plug connector, and the ambient temperature range shifts to 0–60 °C. Always confirm media compatibility with GEMÜ technical support when using any gas other than compressed air or inert neutral gas.
