The DELTA fläche triple-socket range has exactly two models, and the choice is straightforward. The 5UB4731 is the base variant: two-tone dark gray/light gray finish, 10/16A rated, screwless spring-flap terminals. The 5UB4732 is the increased-touch-protection variant: single-tone gray, recessed live contacts to prevent accidental finger contact, plug-in terminals. If the installation does not require erhöhter Berührungsschutz, the 5UB4731 does the job at a lower price. If child safety or spec-mandated touch protection is a factor, step up to the 5UB4732.

Why a triple socket instead of three singles side by side?

One housing means one cable entry, one set of mounting screws, and one cutout. Three single DELTA fläche sockets would require three separate housings, three cable entries, and daisy-chained wiring between them — more labor, more wall space (three singles at 66mm each = 198mm plus gaps between them), and more points of potential water ingress. The triple unit's single sealed housing is inherently cleaner for IP44 installations.

Installation notes

At 201mm wide, the 5UB4731 needs a flat wall run with enough clearance for the hinged cover to swing open fully. The spring-flap terminals accept solid conductors up to 2.5mm² — strip, push the spring flap, insert, release. All terminals are doubled for loop-through. Cable entry through sliding nipples seals around 8–13.5mm Ø cable to maintain the IP44 rating.
