The 0XA03 at 3 kW is the highest convection-only FSB in the G115D range. At 125.8 W power loss, the 425 × 180 × 134 mm heatsink still keeps the power stage within thermal limits without a fan — no filter mats to clean, no bearings to replace, no fan-related service interval to track. The next step up, 0XA04 at 4 kW, crosses the thermal line and adds a fan. This one does not.

When does fanless matter at 3 kW?

In a distribution center with 200 drives mounted at operator-accessible height along the conveyor frame, fan noise and filter maintenance are real operational costs. Each fan-cooled drive adds a 540–580 mA load to the 24 V DC supply and requires periodic filter cleaning in dusty environments. The 3 kW convection-cooled FSB eliminates both. For merge and accumulation zones where the motor sees variable load rather than sustained full-load duty, the 125.8 W convection rating provides sufficient thermal headroom without the fan. If the application runs near-full-load continuously at +40 °C ambient, step to the 0XA04 — that is exactly the decision the G115D thermal architecture asks the engineer to make.
