What is the cheapest way to move a 5.5 kW section?

Some conveyor sections are simply on or off with a speed setpoint, and the specification sheet for a networked drive is overkill. The I/O Control variant is the entry version of the 2XE line: start, stop, direction and setpoint arrive on plain terminals, no network address, no bus commissioning. What does I/O Control give up compared with the other variants?

The trade is on the control side, not the power side. There is no fieldbus port, so the drive reports no diagnostics to a controller - speed, current and fault states are read locally. If a section later joins a network, the AF0 variant is the same 5.5 kW FSC hardware with PROFINET, PROFIsafe and EtherNet/IP on two M12 ports; if it needs extra digital I/O with a fail-safe input, the AB0 variant sits between the two. Choosing the I/O Control variant today locks in the terminal-only wiring scheme, so the upgrade path is a drive swap when the line grows.

For sections that will never be networked and never need more than terminal control, this is the version that removes the price of connectivity you would never use.
