The di-soric SR-0 is a dedicated safety interface relay engineered to provide a reliable link between Type 2 safety light curtains/grids and machine safety circuits. It serves as an interface relay that simplifies the integration of individual safety sensors into comprehensive occupational safety solutions. The device is designed to be controlled and monitored directly through the connected safety light curtain or light grid, eliminating the need for complex external logic. It features two guided-contact safety relays that provide redundant switching, ensuring high reliability and safety integrity.

At its core, the SR-0 provides two normally open (NO) safety outputs and one normally closed (NC) auxiliary output, with a switching capacity of 2A at 250V AC. The guided-contact relay design ensures that a welded contact on one channel will be detected via the associated auxiliary contact, preventing the system from being reset and maintaining the integrity of the safety function. The SR-0 features inverse polarity protection and is powered by a 19.2-28.8V DC supply.

The SR-0 includes an integrated External Device Monitoring (EDM) feedback output (1 NC), allowing the connected light curtain to monitor the state of external contactors. This ensures that the safety loop is complete and that the contactors have correctly de-energized before a new machine cycle can be initiated. The device delivers a reaction time of less than 20 milliseconds, ensuring swift response to safety demands.

The SR-0 is designed for straightforward DIN rail mounting in accordance with EN 50022-35 standard. The compact housing measures 101 x 35 x 120 mm and carries an IP20 protection rating for the enclosure and IP 2X for the terminal blocks. The device operates reliably within an ambient temperature range of 0 to +55°C. It is specifically compatible with di-soric's SLI… and SLIH… series safety light curtains and grids. Typical applications include access guarding and safety light curtain integration in industrial automation environments.
