The REER ADSR0 is an emergency stop safety interface relay specifically engineered to serve as the critical link between safety light curtains and machine control circuits. It is not a general-purpose safety relay, but rather a dedicated interface module designed for light curtains equipped with External Device Monitoring (EDM) feedback input, including REER's own EOS4 X, Admiral AX, EOS2 X, Vision VX/VXL/MXL, and Janus series. Its primary function is to evaluate the OSSD outputs from these light curtains and reliably switch the machine's safety contactors, ensuring a safe state when the protective field is interrupted. Housed in a compact 101 x 35 x 120 mm enclosure, the ADSR0 mounts directly onto a standard 35mm DIN rail, making it an ideal solution for space-constrained control panels.

At the core of the ADSR0's reliability are two internally mounted forced-guided contact safety relays (DOLD OA 5643 or OA 5644). This redundant internal architecture is fundamental to achieving the highest safety integrity levels. The device is certified to Performance Level e (PL e) and Safety Category 4 according to EN ISO 13849-1, and Safety Integrity Level 3 (SIL 3) according to IEC 61508. These certifications are further substantiated by approvals from CE, UL, and TÜV. The safety outputs consist of two normally open (NO) contacts and one normally closed (NC) contact, with a maximum switching capacity of 2A at 250V AC.

A defining characteristic of the ADSR0 is its integrated EDM feedback function. This circuit continuously monitors the state of external contactors connected to the machine's power circuit. If a contactor fails to de-energize correctly—for instance, due to welded contacts—the ADSR0 detects this fault and prevents the machine from restarting, thereby maintaining the safety function. This EDM capability, combined with the unit's ≤20 ms response time, ensures that the safety system reacts swiftly and reliably to both intentional interruptions and fault conditions. The device operates on a 24V DC power supply (±20%) and consumes a maximum of 1.5W of power.

Installation and maintenance are streamlined by the ADSR0's practical design. Electrical connections are made via removable terminal blocks that feature reverse polarity protection. The enclosure carries an IP20 protection rating (with IP2X for the terminal blocks) and is designed for operation in ambient temperatures from 0°C to 55°C. The unit weighs approximately 180g.
