The SITOP DC UPS 6EP1931-2DC42 is the USB-equipped variant of Siemens' 6A 24VDC battery-backed protection module. It delivers the same seamless power continuity for industrial loads while offering convenient PC connectivity via a standard USB cable — status data refreshes every 75ms, slightly faster than the serial version, and the familiar USB connector eliminates the need for legacy COM ports on modern computers.

USB Monitoring and Control

The USB 2.0 Full-Speed interface transmits the same 5-character status codes as the serial variant — BUFRD, ALARM, *BAT*, BA>85, BA<85 — along with voltage, current, and battery condition data. A proprietary Siemens driver (downloadable from siemens.com/sitop) must be installed once. The free SITOP DC UPS Software tool then provides graphical dashboards, historical logging, and remote timer-start capability. Maximum USB cable length is 5 meters.

UPS Power Performance

Electrically identical to the 2DC21 and 2DC31 models: 22-29VDC input, 24VDC/6A output, 95% efficiency in normal mode, and sub-millisecond switching to battery. DIP switches configure all operating parameters. Three floating relay contacts (OK/Bat, Alarm/Bat, Battery >85%) provide hardwired status outputs that remain active regardless of USB connection state.
