Product Description

The FQ1NG is a frequency controller for electromagnetic linear and bowl vibratory feeders used in packaging, dosing, conveying, and assembly automation. It generates a variable-frequency output to drive the feeder coil at its mechanical resonance point, with automatic natural frequency search eliminating the need for manual tuning during setup or after feeder wear.

How does the automatic frequency search work?

On startup, the FQ1NG sweeps the output frequency across the 5–140 Hz range while monitoring the feedback signal from the vibratory feeder. The controller locks onto the frequency that produces maximum mechanical amplitude — the feeder's natural resonance — and maintains this operating point. An adjustable current limiter prevents coil overcurrent if the feeder is mechanically blocked or operated outside its design envelope.

What control interfaces does the FQ1NG support?

External ON/OFF control accepts a dry contact or 0–24 V signal. For automatic operation, a 0–10 V or 4–20 mA analog input from a PLC sets the vibration amplitude in proportion to the control signal. Configurable timers (T_on, T_off, T_alarm: 0–20 s each) and an air-valve switch-off time (0–2 s) coordinate feeder operation with downstream packaging or filling equipment. An optional SIND3 amplitude sensor provides closed-loop feedback for applications requiring tight vibration consistency.
