Triton vs. Triton PLUS — which variant to choose?

The standard Triton is rated for conventional turning speeds (1,800–3,500 rpm depending on size). The Triton PLUS variant incorporates centrifugal force compensation that maintains constant clamping force at elevated RPM, enabling roughly 60–70% higher maximum speeds — for example, the Triton PLUS 165 reaches 6,000 rpm versus 3,500 rpm for the standard Triton 165. Choose PLUS when hard turning at high surface speeds where centrifugal force would otherwise reduce jaw grip. Both variants share identical dimensions, clamping forces, and jaw stroke within each size.
