The MHA ZENTGRAF 3KH series is a German-manufactured high-pressure 3-way ball valve family for hydraulic and pneumatic directional control. The valve body is machined from carbon steel with female NPT threaded connections per ANSI B1.20.1, and a manual lever handle is standard. The 3KH is used for diverting a single inlet to one of two outlets (or, in reverse, selecting between two inlets to one outlet) in hydraulic power units, mobile equipment, industrial machinery, and high-pressure process lines. Stainless steel body and trim are available on request for corrosive or food-grade applications.

What is the difference between L-port and T-port configurations?

The 3KH is supplied with either an L-port or T-port ball. An L-port ball connects the common port to one of the two side ports at a time — it is strictly a diverter or selector valve. A T-port ball can connect all three ports simultaneously, enabling both diverting and mixing functions: flow from two inlet ports can be combined into a single outlet, or the common port can feed both side ports at once. The T-port also supports a 90° flow path between the two side ports while isolating the common port. Selection depends on the circuit logic: L-port for A-or-B switching, T-port for A-and-B combining applications.

These ratings apply to the standard carbon steel body with compatible hydraulic oil and pneumatic media. For specific media, elevated temperatures, or stainless steel construction, consult the manufacturer's application engineering for de-rated pressure values.

What actuation and mounting options are available?

While the standard configuration is a manual lever handle with a locking device option, the 3KH platform supports several accessories and modifications. Pneumatic and hydraulic rotary actuators can be flange-mounted in place of the manual lever for automated operation via PLC or remote control. Position switches provide electrical feedback of valve state (port A open / port B open). Panel-mount kits allow the valve body to be secured through an equipment panel with the lever or actuator on the operator side. Combination valve configurations stack multiple 3KH bodies for multi-circuit manifold applications. The series is RoHS and REACH compliant.
