The MBW Calibration 473 dew point hygrometer features cable mounted measuring heads that allow the user to measure directly within the application environment, and includes a temperature probe as standard. The 473 is able to calculate, display and output relative humidity.

MBW chilled mirror hygrometers provide precise, stable and repeatable measurement results. The 473 utilizes high quality materials and precision engineering, resulting in a service life of more than 15 years. The platinum resistance thermometer (PRT) element embedded within the mirror ensures measurement stability over a long period of time.

MBW's ForceFrost™ function over-cools the mirror to force the condensed layer to the solid phase when the temperature falls below a user defined limit. This eliminates the uncertainty of whether dew or frost point is measured.

Three different measuring heads with 2m connecting cables are available:

SH2 Measuring Head: Flow-through head with 2-stage Peltier element, includes calibrated temperature probe. Variable speed fan pulls consistent airflow across mirror. With fan removed, can connect to applications using tubing and standard 6mm or 1/4in fittings.

RP2 Measuring Head: Compact probe with 2-stage Peltier element, includes connection for temperature measurement. Supplied with calibrated head mounted temperature probe and extension cable for optimum placement.

SHX Measuring Head: Designed for high temperature applications (-30 to 99°C dew point). Incorporates sample fan with controllable speed to maintain stable flow within 0.3 to 1 lpm at atmospheric pressure. High temperature motor with aluminum impeller/cowl maintains reliable sample flow. Flow rate changeable via serial commands from front panel.
