The E+H Proline Prosonic Flow W 400 ultrasonic flow meter is a clamp-on meter providing bidirectional measurement for water and wastewater as well as process water and hydropower plants. The measuring principle is non-invasive and independent of pressure, density, and conductivity. Heartbeat technology provides continuous transparency in processes with its diagnostic, verification, and monitoring functions.

With the FlowDC option, the specified accuracy can be maintained despite disturbed flow profiles. The W 400 features a short inlet run, long-term stable signal, maintenance-free permanent mounting from outside with coupling pads, and full remote access via the web server. It covers an extensive nominal diameter range from DN 15 to 4000 (1/2 to 160 in) with flow velocity up to 50 ft per second.

Maximum measurement error for volume flow is ±3% o.r. for DN15 and ±2% o.r. for DN25 and above. Medium temperature range is –40 to 266°F (–40 to 130°C). The meter provides a 4-20 mA HART output and features a stainless steel sensor housing with single channel configuration. When using two sensor sets and FlowDC, only 2 x DN inlet and outlet runs are required for optimal performance.
