Remote wells, isolated exchangers, rotating equipment and storage farms share one problem: the measurement is valuable, but the cable run to power it is not. What makes a decade of battery credible?

Low-power design on both sides of the radio: the transducer, the HART stack and the RF stage are developed in-house for energy budget rather than adapted from wired products, and the update frequency itself is selectable from one second to sixty minutes - so a slow process buys battery life with reporting rate. The 2.4 GHz link reaches 150 m in open area, and pressure plus temperature travel in the same wireless message, halving the number of field devices a site must install and maintain.

Where does wireless beat wired outright?

Wherever the hazard or the distance makes cable work expensive or risky: oil and gas automation, heat exchange stations, boiler and pipeline monitoring, tank storage - the operator walks less, and nobody has to enter a hazardous atmosphere to read a gauge. For sites that already run a WirelessHART gateway, the ASP2000 joins the network as one more node; for new sites, it is the cheapest way to start one.
