Cleanroom monitoring is a compliance exercise as much as a measurement one, and the Rotronic CRP5 is built to be audited: differential pressure on a diaphragm sensor, humidity and temperature from a removable probe, all displayed on a glass-fronted panel that wipes down without aging - validated to GMP and compatible with FDA 21 CFR part 11 and GAMP5 documentation.

Why does the probe come off?

Because cleaning is the routine, not the exception. The magnetic-mounted HC2-CRP humidity and temperature probe lifts off for separate cleaning and calibration without breaking the installation, and the front face stays IP65 even with the sensors removed - so washing down a pharmaceutical or electronics cleanroom never puts the instrument at risk. Optical buttons work through protective gloves, which is the detail that decides whether staff actually use the alarm functions.

Standalone panel or part of a monitoring system?

Either, by design: Ethernet with Modbus TCP and RS-485 with Modbus RTU carry measurements, alarms and warnings into whatever supervisory layer the facility already runs, while four freely configurable analog outputs and six solid-state relays drive local controls directly. Pressure ranges come in +/- 50, 100, 250 and 500 Pa steps to match the room class, the housing is wall-mount steel behind glass, and up to six values plus messages display in individually adjustable colors - the panel equivalent of a calibrated gauge with a data historian attached.
