Product Description

The IDP10 is Schneider Electric's I/A Series differential pressure transmitter - a two-wire d/p Cell built on a silicon strain-gauge microsensor for stable flow, level, and DP measurement.

Why still a DP cell in the age of Coriolis?

Coriolis wins on mass flow, but across an orifice plate or nozzle a DP cell is cheaper, simpler, and field-proven in hundreds of thousands of installs - the IDP10 adds 400:1 turndown and square-root extraction so one transmitter spans a wide flow range. The alternative - a fixed-range cell - needs a different model for every line size.

How stable is the reading over time?

The silicon sensor drifts under ±0.05% URL per year with a 5-year warranty, and modular HART electronics mean a swapped module needs no recalibration. The alternative - an analog cell - cannot report its own drift trend.

What about the process fluid and area?

Wetted parts come in 316L, Hastelloy, Monel, or Tantalum, in an IP66/67 housing with ATEX, IECEx, FM, and CSA approvals, so it drops into corrosive or hazardous loops. The alternative - a bare transmitter - fails the area certification.
