The Telaire T8700 / T8700-D humidity and temperature transmitters utilize a rugged capacitive sensor for full-scale 0–100% RH measurement with excellent response time, linearity, and stability. Recovery to condensation and chemicals is excellent, and an integrated filter ensures long life. Sensors undergo intensive digital calibration certified against a primary NIST reference standard.

All versions feature field-selectable outputs (0–5V, 0–10V, 4–20mA) and a passive 10K Type II thermistor. Signal-conditioned temperature is scaled from 32°F to 122°F (0–50°C). The enclosure is rugged flame-retardant UL-94V ABS plastic, with enhanced airflow design to prevent self-heating. Two-piece construction with removable terminal blocks simplifies pre-wiring. Features include field-replaceable humidity sensor, tamper-resistant design, and two-year warranty.
